Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) – When the symptoms of EAB begin to show, the infestation is already 2-3 years old. Between 3-5 years of infestation, the trees decline rapidly, and in 5-7 years of infestation, they can become extremely hazardous due to decay. Our area is seeing a rapid decline in the health of our Ash tree population! If you have Ash trees on your property, they should be inspected soon and to come up with a plan of action. It’s unfortunate, but many Ash trees will die, though some may be saved with the proper treatment if it’s not already too late.
